COMPOSITION

Music Composers of all ages

Compose in any style, any genre:
art music, electronic, commercial, modern, contemporary, avant garde, rock/pop, rockband, choral or symphonic, movie soundtrack, solo instrumental, etc.
​
CATEGORY A:
Compose for vocal, instrumental, solo, small or large groups and electronic compositions.
Composer "pairs" allowed, e.g. Composer/Lyricist combos or composer and co-composer.
Beginner, novice, amateur and professional composers welcome.
One piece, own choice.
No time limit, judges reserve the right to evaluate only the first 15 minutes of lengthy compositions.

CATEGORY B:
Music Video production: original composition, audio, video project (All aspects evaluated e.g. sound mixing and editing, the composition, the performance, the video design/effects/impact).

You will compete in age categories for Grand Prize, 1st prize with honors, 1st prize, 2nd, 3rd prizes, Honorable Mention and Merit awards:
         Young Musicians: age 7 and younger
         Junior 1: age 8 and 9
         Junior 2: ages 10 to 13 
         Senior: ages 14 to 18 
         Collegiate: age 19 to 26
         Open: 27+
Age calculated as on June 1st.
Submission formats:  pdf notation file, audio track mp3, mp4, YouTube link.
​Sheet music pdf preferred but not required.
