1. REGISTRATION
Registration for the 7 p.m. Prize Winners' Recital on August 28, 2022 is FULL.
Registration for the 2 p.m. Prize Winners' Recital on August 28, 2022 is NOW OPEN
Performers: Registration is NOW open for ALL PRIZE WINNERS OF ANY OF OUR 2021 AND 2022 COMPETITIONS
Composers: As you are not taking up on-stage performance time, you may register at any time and numbers are not limited.
2. GENERAL INFORMATION FOR PARTICIPANTS
1. Due to several requests chamber/ensemble is now also included.
Solo, duo, trio or quartet, chamber and ensemble groups, including choral/singing groups who don't need risers, are welcome.
2. Your registration fee covers:
- Performance in the Recital featuring some of the top upcoming young musicians today
- Commemorative Medal
- 1x Complimentary Ticket for a companion (friend/teacher/family) Performers and their accompanists DO NOT need tickets.
- 10-15 Professional digital photos e-delivered 1-2 weeks after the recital
- Complimentary keepsake printed program
- Printed certificate for Participant and Teacher
3. All participants are responsible to provide their own instrument(s). One Steinway concert grand piano is provided. All performers take sole responsibility for the care of their instruments and assume full responsibility for loss, damage or other incidents of the instrument.
4. All performers have a time limit to adhere to (this must include your setup time/tuning/positioning a stand, etc). Please email us if you need more time to verify :
Young Musicians (7 and younger) 3 minutes;
Junior I (8 - 9 year olds) 3 minutes;
Junior II (10-13 yr olds) 4 minutes;
Senior (14-18) 5 minutes;
Collegiate (19-26 yr olds) 6 minutes;
Open (27+ ) 7 minutes max.
5. Instrumentalist/Vocalists: only piano accompaniment may be used at the Winners Recital. No acoustic system will be provided. No electric instruments and amplification.
6. Participants may bring their own piano accompanist. If you need a New York based piano accompanist, please consult www.pianoaccompanists.com They have many excellent pianists (bio, qualifications and rates for your consideration on their website).
7. For practicing in New York, please consult www.pianopianostudios.com
8. A photo and a short biography will be published in the Prize Winners Recital program. IYMC reserves the rights to edit, reduce or re-format any submitted biographies to fit into the Recital Program.
9. All participants are responsible for their own expenses (travel, housing accommodations, documents, visas, etc.). Participants assume full responsibility for all travel, accommodation, health safety, travel documentation, personal travel/medical/property and other insurance as they deem necessary.
10. International performers may request an invitation letter from IYMC to present at the USA embassy of their home country for visa application. Request this on your registration form.
11. Photography and video/audio recording is not permitted during the recital.
12. Detailed Winners Recital Guidelines (time line of the day, dress, warmup times, rehearsal locations, arrival times, parking, etc.) will be emailed to the participants closer to the recital.
13. Performers and piano accompanists will not require a ticket for the event. All performers will receive ONE complimentary ticket as part of the registration for a companion (parent, family, friend, teacher). Additional tickets may be purchased online at $50 each (see the Ticket purchase form lower on this page). Seating is unreserved. Doors will open 30 min before the recital time.
14. All performers are requested to dress appropriately, for example, recital attire, evening wear, suits, recital dresses, formal wear.
15. Limited warmup time is available. A schedule will be distributed before the performance.
16. Minors are the responsibility of their supervising adults (parent/guardian) whilst on the premises of the IYMC recital and for the duration of the proceedings.
17. Performers and Composers will be recognized as a group at the end of the recital in an awards ceremony and receive, on stage, a commemorative medal and certificate.
18. IYMC retains the right to use video/audio/images for media release. We do not gain copyright of your original works.
19. Registration fees are nonrefundable, but does guarantee your performance. No further approval needed.
20. Please continue to check COVID and travel restrictions. Currently the USA and the performance hall, The DiMenna Center, are requiring all visitors to be fully vaccinated. Directives may change as we approach August. Check for vaccination and travel requirements with your local officials, travel agent or on sites such as

TERMS AND CONDITIONS
International Youth Music Competitions LLC (IYMC)
"Participants” of the IYMC Competition agree to assume full responsibility for, and to indemnify, hold harmless and defend IYMC and its director(s), Executive Team, organizers, members, jury, officers, contractors and agents as well as any affiliated corporation, partnership, joint venture, the “Performance Hall” and its practice rooms/warmup rooms and other locations of the “Performance Site”, and the City of New York from and against, any and all claims, demands, damages, judgments and liabilities (including, but not limited to, liabilities for penalties and reasonable attorney’s fees) of any nature resulting from or arising out of the Participant performance at IYMC Recitals or the activities associated with the Recitals, and any Engagement, Performance or Rehearsal, including, but not limited to, any claims, demands, damages, judgments and liabilities resulting from or arising out of any injuries, loss or damage of any kind to the entrant or any other person, including personal injury, death, or property damage, resulting in whole or in part, directly or indirectly, from acceptance, possession, use or misuse of any Award, participation in the Competition and/or Recital, any breach of the Competition Rules, or in any Award-related activity.
Participants assume full responsibility for all travel, accommodation, health safety, travel documentation, personal travel/medical/property and other insurance as they deem necessary.
Participants shall assume full responsibility for documentation, vaccination, protection, testing, etc. as required by travel agencies, airlines, local and international mandates, recital/rehearsal venues, home and host countries as required at the time.
IYMC shall not be held responsible for any exposure to COVID-19 or any other infectious disease or illness (“Infectious Disease”) on the part of Licensee, its directors, officers, employees, contractors, performers, or any ticket holder or other person admitted to the Premises or the Building as part of the audience for the Engagement, Performance, or Rehearsals.
Participants assume full responsibility for the supervision of minors.
No photography, video or audio recording is allowed during the Recital.
Participants agree to a media release. Participants grant IYMC the right to use their Personal Information for publicity and promotional purposes relating to the Competition and Recital, in any and all media now known or hereafter devised, without further compensation or notification unless prohibited by law. Participants retain copyright to all original work presented.
